Dr. Professor László Borhy - president
Rector, Head of Eötvös Loránd University. He is responsible for ensuring that the institution operates properly and lawfully and that students and lecturers are able to operate under appropriate conditions. Only a university professor with appropriate management and management skills may be elected Rector. The Rector is elected by the Senate, the mandate is for four years, and it can be extended once, for another four years.
The chair of the ELTE Alumni Foundation was taken over from its predecessor on 20. January 2018.
