Former rectors of ELTE, Dr. Ádám György, Dr. István Klinghammer, Dr. Károly Nagy, Dr. Miklós Szabó and Dr. Lajos Vékás, recognizing the importance and significance of the community of current and former students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff of Eötvös Loránd University and that this community offers an outstanding opportunity to maintain and preserve the academic traditions between current and former students created the ELTE Alumni Foundation.
The aims of the Foundation are:
- to strenghten the relationship between the university and its former students, teachers and researchers to preserve the widespread of the academic heritage;
- to facilitate the work between current and former university students, teachers, researchers and staff;
- to collect donations and to organize financial support to the operation of the ELTE Alumni Organization in order to help achieve its goals.
- to obtain support for academic, scientific, cultural and sport activities at the faculties and colleges of the university.
