ELTE Alumni Get Together in Madrid and Istanbul

In the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the unbroken development of the International Alumni Chapter continued, of which a very important element was the organization of the ELTE Alumni Get Together events. During this period, two such events took place, first on April 8 in Madrid, and then on April 29 in Istanbul. Both events were surrounded by enormous interest, which proves that those who studied at ELTE fondly think about their student years spent here throughout their lives.

In Madrid, Dr. István Horváth, professor of the Faculty of Law, representing the university, hosted the meeting. The event itself took place at the Hungarian Embassy in Madrid. Those present were able to recall the years when they were still studying at ELTE in an intimate conversation.

In Istanbul, the Alumni Get Together was also organized with the help of the local Consulate General, and the venue was provided by the Liszt Institute. Here, Dr. Angéla Imre, Assistant Professor of the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education, represented the university. Furthermore, this event was combined with an information session for potential future students who wish to study at ELTE in the future. The huge interest is best demonstrated by the fact that the number of attendees exceeded all expectations.

In addition to the informal conversation, those who attended also had the opportunity to learn about the opportunities and services offered by the International Alumni Section.

We hope that we will be able to organize as many such and similar programs for the International Alumni Section in the future, as ELTE Alma Mater awaits everyone.
