QS EUROPE: ELTE IS AGAIN THE BEST HUNGARIAN UNIVERSITY THIS YEAR
Eötvös Loránd University has ranked 190th in Quacquarelli Symonds' European ranking, making it the best university in Hungary in its regional ranking just like in the company's world ranking (QS WUR).Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) first published its European university rankings in autumn 2023, and now the second edition of the rankings has been published as QS Europe 2025. A total of 685 institutions in 42 locations across the continent were surveyed. Eötvös Loránd University was ranked 190th in the overall ranking, 18 places higher than last year, making it the best higher education institution in Hungary again this year. A total of 15 universities from Hungary were included in the ranking, ELTE is followed by the University of Debrecen (222nd), the University of Szeged (228th), the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (247th) and the University of Pécs (314th).
